Freida was born on the 18th October 1984 in Mumbai to Frederick Pinto, a senior bank manager at the Bank of Baroda and Sylvia Pinto, the principal of St. John’s School. She has an older sister Sharon Pinto who works at the NDTV News Channel as an associate producer. She is a Mangalorean Catholic.
In 2007-2008 - she played the female lead in acclaimed British director DANNY BOYLE’s film titled “Slumdog Millionaire” slated to release in 2008/2009. Back to 2006-2007- she was in TV SHOW “FULL CIRCLE” and anchored the International Travel Show, Full Circle on Zee International Asia Pacific in English, successfully completing 52 episodes.

Start from 2005– present, she is working as an Artist/Model with ELITE MODEL MANAGEMENT INDIA and was seen as Magazine Cover of "Femina & Femina Girl, FNL" She wasa also participated in fashon show of Wendell Rodricks for Lakme Fashion Week 2006.
